India-based Kale Logistics announced that it has been recognised for an award at the Logistics Service Provider Summit & Awards 2015, which was organised by Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMPro).
SCMPro is part of the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISCM), a premium publication house and Institute of learning for the logistics industry.
The company was awarded the “Innovative SCM IT Provider of the Year” for its first of its kind initiatives in the space of Community platforms for the supply chain entities, said a statement.
Kale Logistics has designed and developed the new age Cargo Community Platform-Uplift in India, which has successfully processed over 5 million electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions, thereby streamlining and reducing the paper in the complex cargo supply chain, it said.
It has the distinction of implementing first of its kind Airport Cargo Community platform (Gmax) in the world at the Mumbai International Airport Limited (Mial) which has brought greater efficiency and visibility to all the airport cargo community stakeholders, it added.
Kale has now ventured into creating India’s first Container Digital Exchange (Codex), added the statement.
Kale’s Uplift cargo community platform was the first cargo community system to get featured in Supply Chain Management book of Kelloggs B-School. It was also recognized as “Top 10 Logistics Innovations in India” under a study taken up by KPMG, it said.
Vineet Malhotra, director, said: “We have been awarded industry accolades for the last seven successive years for the pioneering solutions that facilitate automation in the logistics industry.”
